The body of Lucas Tete, the cop who was killed during captivity to Maoists, was found in Bihar. The Maoists also kidnapped sub –inspector Rupesh Kumar and Abhay Prasad, Ehtesham Khan five days ago after an encounter in Lakhisarai district of Bihar. Part from this Bhulan Yadav, officer-in –charge of Kawaiya police and six Bihar Military Police personnel were killed in the gunfight.
Tete’s family is in a poor condition, wife Pyari appealed the Maoists via media to free her husband, but it all went in vain. Tete has left three daughters behind.
Jharkhand police spokesperson said,
R.K .Mallik “We condemn the killing. The Maoists are turning out to be terrorists. Jharkhand police wants to know what kind of Gandhian ideology is being followed by Maoists who are indulging in killing innocent policemen who are just doing their duty”
