‘Aarohan’ which in the Bengali language means ‘ascension’ has been chosen for screening at the prestigious Montreal Festival and has been slotted in the ‘Focus on World Cinema’ section. The ‘Focus on World Cinema’ section showcases films from the United States of America, Asia, Europe and Africa.
Starring veteran actors like Soumitra Chatterjee and Sandhya Ray along with Rituparna Sengupta, ‘Aarohan’ is a story set in Varanasi where an aged gentleman wishes to die and his family tries to dissuade him.
