Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone may have been trying to bury the hatchet, but there just may be a spanner in the works. With the makers of their films (Barfee and Cocktail respectively) deciding on the same release date, the former lovebirds will again be engaging in a clash of sorts. Will it sour their newfound truce?
“Neither Ranbir’s Barfee nor Dippy’s Cocktail had a release date set until a little while ago,” says an industry insider. “With a sudden announcement of July 13, both films’ makers have pretty much declared war, and Ranbir and Dippy’s fragile friendship may be the casualty.” Incidentally, both films have been in the making for a long time, and neither can afford to be held back any longer.

A surprise bash by Bips’ sister
Bipasha Basu’s sister, Bidisha, and a gang of friends ensured that the Bong beauty had a blas on her birthday (this Friday). Bidi had planned a surprise bash for her sister’s 33rd birthday at a posh Mumbai restaurant. But since the venue did not work out, the party was shifted to Bips’ Bandra residence. Close friends like Deanne Pandey and designer Rocky S attended the bash.
