Dr. Guru N. Reddy, was installed as Harris County Medical Society (HCMS) 110th president. He is a principal at Digestive & Liver Disease Consultants P.A., a 23-year-old medical practice with offices in North Houston, Humble/Kingwood and the Woodlands/Conroe area. Reddy is also medical director of North Houston Endoscopy & Surgery and a clinical assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine, where he also trained.
Reddy will assume his new role with the group at a ceremony to be held at the Westin Oaks Hotel, 5011 Westheimer Road, on Jan. 21 from 6:30- 9:30 pm. The featured speaker at the event was Congressman Kevin Brady, a Republican representing Texas’ 8th district. As a state legislator, Brady helped create the Texas Birth Defects Registry and maintains an ongoing interest in medical research. The HCMS is the largest county medical society in the nation, counting nearly 11,000 physicians and medical students as members. Founded in 1903, its stated mission is to be the leading advocate for physicians and patients in the county by promoting the highest standards of ethical medical practice.
