The American market is literally lapping up fashions from India these days, ever since LIV Tyler was seen wearing mehendi in one of the magazines. Saris have always attracted Westerners but now Indian styled ‘Kurtis’ (shorter forms of Kurtas), Indian suits, trendy georgette net saris with heavy embroidery work, bangles, necklaces, ear rings and of course the Indian form of tattoo, the mehendi, are all taking the fancy of the American people.
Even men and children enjoy wearing fashionable Indian clothes.
