Chicago IL: On Thursday, December 8, 2011 Medstar Laboratory partnered with Erie Neighborhood House who is servicing to low income families since 1870 to sponsor many low-income families. Each family was provided with groceries, goodie bags and toys for their children. The families were over joyed with all the gifts received, and the children were thrilled as they open their gifts of their choice as they requested on their wish list.
The mothers’ of the children expressed their gratitude for being chosen as a recipient of this charity. They shared their experience on how difficult it is to not being able to provide the essentials for the holiday. The mothers’ were gleaming with joy looking at their children happy faces and giving their blessings to all involved. As Naren, Neal and Raj Patel heard their stories, they had tear-filled eyes.
Mr. Naren Patel would like to support the Erie Neighborhood House each holiday season to provide holiday cheer to more families. The Youth Director of the Erie Neighborhood House requested if the some of the high school students could shadow Medstar Employees and view the medical profession and its operations. Mr. Patel said that he will be happy to do anything for the youth program at Erie Neighborhood House and its students. Overall, it was a beautiful event, and we hope it will make a real impact on a lot of deserving children in need. Medstar Lab hosted the Annual Holiday Party for its employees on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Medstar Family believes in helping communities and giving back.
